that's because his maturity alot was due to his culture and ideology and how he was raised within the air nomads and alot of them tend to disrespect him and his culture or chop it up like zuko did by calling him a guru guru goodie or implying his people's way of thinking or their sayings where "cute" and compared it to that of a preschool

yall literally were bragging and gloating over banning the character he wanted, you implied he was friendless over it and told him to go play quick play.... yall were jerks, all because you didn't wanna deal with the character. Saying you wanna ban the character is one thing, gloating over it, implying they have no friends and telling them to play quick play if they wanna play the character is another

He uprooted her from her tribe (1st episode of the show mind you: *clip*) dressed her as an Air Nomad (seems pretty water tribe colors to me) used her to repopulate his nation (they had 3 kids, 1 Airbender) and worst of all, imposed his pacifist religion and customs on her (never happened BTW) Forcing a woman from another culture to adopt your religion and erasing her original identity to serve yours is the literal definition of cultural colonization. (and its also something that didn't happen in this show) The real colonizer here was always Aang (thats a good set up for the fanfic you must be writing because its definitely not Canon to the show)

Calling Zuko a 'colonizer' is ridiculous when his entire character arc was about destroying his own nation's imperialism. ​If you want to talk about real colonization, look at what Aang did to Katara: he completely assimilated her. He uprooted her from her tribe, dressed her as an Air Nomad, used her to repopulate his nation, and worst of all, imposed his pacifist religion and customs on her.
