You really should know before marrying someone whether they file their taxes on time or whether they file them at all.

@nickmeals All my new clients are transfers from companies that won’t meet in person. ALL! And the phone keeps ringing and I’m going to have to say no more new clients soon.

I'm starting to figure out if you are willing to sit down and meet w people, you can adjust fees accordingly and they do not care one bit. They just want attention. TIFWIW

My dad always celebrated his birthday on February 14th, the day he was adopted. His actual birthday is today February 8th. He is officially 94. God blessed Him and Us with another year of him. Last Friday his hospice nurse told us that our deeply loved dad is actively dying. I told his church family St. Richard's Winter Park and am now sharing the same with all of you. This photo is from Dad's 80th birthday at Bon Appetit in Dunedin FL. When God calls dad home, Angie, Jason, and many others will be there to welcome him. And, as someone from his church said, "may he pass peacefully over the rainbow bridge with angels singing, well done good and faithful servant." ♥️

I just got called the "magical fairy godmother tax person" and I figure I should just quit while I'm ahead and go home.

Creepiest voicemail ever. Just called a client at work and the answering machine said, "Thank you for calling XYZ company. We sometimes listen to your phone calls and sometimes we record them too." I didn't leave a message, I'll check for another number for him. Eeew!

I'm not overly religious, but I'd appreciate you keeping my family in your thoughts. Not only did we lose Teddy this week, but my FIL had brain surgery on Mon. He was discharged Thu but is back in the hospital & is going to be monitored for a couple days. Worst week of my life.

Prayers, etc requested for my Dad please. He is in ICU. 5mm brain bleed, fluid on the lung, broken piece of bone or chip in the neck. He is alert and responding well to Q&A. Am going to try to rest/sleep tonight and go in the AM when docs are there.

While others slow down for the holidays, estate and elder law attorneys hit peak season. Our calendars fill up fast because clients want to meet "while family is in town." See y’all in 2026! 😆

#TaxTwitter Anybody else seeing Missouri sending out notices for unpaid taxes for 2024 because they didn't apply the 2023 refund to the estimates? I'm getting too many calls about this.
