This is bonkers, though for once you're in tune with the modern age. Most European leaders disagree with Trump about defense policy, but they agree with him that their countries and his should massively increase military spending -- exactly what the world doesn't need.

Re Angleton, it's not clear if CIA was covering up its own incompetence monitoring Oswald, or something more nefarious. If the latter, that doesn't mean there's a conspiracy now about Kirk or that Robinson is being framed.

@ZsoltNagy7 @ZachCostello_ That's a good point -- the investigation of JFK assassination was never satisfactorily resolved. In the Kirk case, I think Tyler Robinson's trial will start soon and bring out more information.

Telling Kent's agency to back off from Kirk case isn't a conspiracy, even though Kent, Carson & Kirk were right about not attacking Iran. There's no evidence of an Israeli/Egyptian/Macron/whoever plan to kill Kirk, and solid evidence against Robinson, including pro-trans motive.

Murray Kempton in the Post, Jimmy Breslin & Pete Hammil in Daily News, were in NYC's golden age of columnist-driven tabloid journalism. All liberals, though, they left it to others (eg James Q Wilson) to figure out how to stop and reverse the crime wave which was destroying city.
