Strange to think that when I give my talk on Thursday my grandfather was once on his feet in Walthamstow too - 118 years before me.

My controversial grandad was a cowboy, journalist, hobo, soldier, communist, pacifist, author and rebel. No surprise then that as a minister from 1906-17 he upset numerous apple carts. My talk, 'The Cowboy of Walthamstow', is on 26 Sep in St Saviour's Church at 7.15pm.
