@Bencera opus complaining about codex overengineering is too real. i had to build a folder of reusable instructions to load in first just to stop them from fighting over architecture.

my AI coding workflow as a solo founder: - opus 4.6 for exploration + planning - codex 5.4 xhigh to stress-test the plan (catches gaps opus missed) - back to opus, which usually complains codex is overengineering lol - few rounds back and forth. codex implements, opus reviews. - ask both: "safe to ship? what's the worst thing that could happen?" opus and codex arguing over my codebase is my entire engineering team. will probably ship this workflow as a Polsia feature at some point.

@mattpocockuk Is there a reason you don't want to run it on a VPS? As I've got a great sandboxed setup for you for my agent orchestration (not just Claude)

What alternatives are there to docker sandbox for sandboxing Claude Code? It's unreliable as hell on WSL. /sandbox doesn't do what I want - cc can always get around it and it doesn't allow for properly AFK workflows.

@john_lam Hi John, epic insight. Would you then say that the part of the spec kit that turns the bigger goal into smaller tasks is a bit over-engineered, based on your new insights of course? :) Or am I misreading your newfound analysis?

Something that I just started doing a couple of days ago that I couldn't before Opus 4.6 / Codex 5.3: I give my agents goals now. Instead of telling them what to do, encourage them to exercise their agency. After watching some debugging sessions, I realized that the last thing you should be doing is micro managing the agent. Instead say: "Hillclimb on doing X. Don't stop until you have reached Y. Do experiments along the way to validate ideas that you have. Write them down in , and use what you learned from them to plan your next step. Then overcome each and every obstacle that you encounter until you reach Y. Only then should you come back and show me what you have done". For coding, this is the key to unlocking the alpha in the current frontier models. It's inverted from what I did before - give instructions, build clear plans etc. But now, I give it goals, tell it to perform experiments (and investing in infrastructure / tooling in the project to improve its ability to perform experiments) feels like the way now.
