To all those following - YES this is an emergency AND yes sexual health sector does need additional resource to manage this emergency - sexual health services had a £150m reduction since 2013.this has been seen as reduction in nurses, doctors , receptionists and support workers

This is a serious development that requires an equally serious shift in gear from the Government. To prevent Monkeypox becoming endemic, the Government needs to urgently increase vaccine supply alongside a major communication campaign to alert the public to the risks.

@PeteApps I was thinking just this Pete. Would Grenfell detectives seek to redact the worst parts of Sir Martin’s report? I suspect the inquiry’s statutory + independent status is key to why that is unlikely/ impossible. That was always a flaw with the Gray inquiry as a vehicle for truth.

The Grenfell Tower Inquiry has run in parallel to a police investigation, which covers offences including manslaughter, for four years. There has never been any suggestion its report will need to be censored or delayed to avoid prejudicing police inquiries.

A question on the Met delay to the Sue Gray report: Any first year media law student could tell you contempt of court is only a risk once someone has been arrested + only applies if there is a serious risk of prejudicing a jury trial. But...
