Taco Cat passed away last night. She was a good little cat, and I know she's somewhere happily watching birds. Going to put her in the garden next to the hazelnut tree. But this is going to be a sad week getting used to not hearing that little chirp in the morning.

@Catrambo @asliverarrow I read encyclopedias all the time as a child. I remember my older sister being outraged and saying “What are people going to think?”

@asliverarrow Yup on both encyclopedias and dictionaries. And my grandmother had nothing but Readers Digest condensed books so I read so so many of those.

Did anyone read encyclopedias or dictionaries as a kid? I mentioned I did to someone during a casual conversation recently and I got a few weird looks. Is this not a "normal" thing? Yes us

@JessFink Ugggghhh… if you’re hungry there’s about a million other things to eat that won’t possibly make you violently ill or kill you. I do not understand mushroom foragers who brag about how sick they got after eating such-and-such. I mean, do they have a death wish?

@AJSchumacherart Have a vegan friend who’s righteous on social media “Ew, there’s pus in your milk. Meat is murder” and sneaks milk ‘cause “I need the calcium” or eats meat ‘cause “someone else bought it.” I truly respect vegans who stick to their principles. But missing out on some tasty food 😉
