🚨 BREAKING 🚨 British Columbia lost 19,000 more jobs in March, after losing 20,000 in February. People are choosing to take jobs out of B.C. because our government keeps making life harder with tax hikes and reckless debt.

People want skill to feel natural. It usually starts by feeling unnatural, even mechanical. The naturalness comes later, after you've earned it.

BC ranks dead last amongst all provinces for private sector job growth since 2019. Now add record deficits, and credit downgrades and you have the NDP playbook.

One of the governments with a record of beating women to death for not covering their hair in public, has been nominated to a committee responsible for policy on women’s rights. One of the governments with a record of executing their citizens for questioning the government, has been nominated to a committee responsible for policy on human rights. One of the governments with a record of refusing to stop illegally developing nuclear weapons, has been nominated to a committee responsible for policy on disarmament. One of the governments with a record of terrorism snd financing and directing terror proxies, has been nominated to a committee responsible for policy on counterterrorism. And Australia, Canada, the UK and many of the EU countries support this. Are they naive? Complicit? Afraid to offend? One thing they definitely are, is fucked.

Who votes for the Islamic Republic of Iran to shape policy on women's rights, human rights, disarmament, and terrorism prevention? Canada. At the UN. Today.

The YouCubed people seem unhinged. The science of math people have no math expertise? YouCubed just knows that these myths are actually correct? This is from a mass email from YouCubed.

UBC hired NDP Leader Avi Lewis and his wife Naomi Klein as professors even though neither has a master’s or PhD. Lewis was paid $92,000 in 2024-2025. He taught one course. Klein was paid $277,000. She taught a graduate seminar & co-taught a second-year course.

I confess to using my 6th grade grammar book to teach 5th graders to diagram sentences. A frmr student, now a 5th grade teacher, just asked where she can get it. '82 to '26 = 44 years. Sometimes the innovation is 'doing what works'.

Have you noticed a pattern? France, UK, Australia and Canada all simultaneously recognize Palestine at exactly the same time. France, UK, Australia and Canada all simultaneously demand a ceasefire with Hamas. France, UK, Australia and Canada all simultaneously demand a ceasefire with Iran. France, UK, Australia and Canada all simultaneously demand a two state solution. France, UK, Australia and Canada all simultaneously consistently condemn any action taken by Israel to defend itself. France, UK, Australia and Canada all simultaneously refuse to help the US in the Strait of Hormuz. France, UK, Australia and Canada all simultaneously call for Lebanon to be part of this ceasefire. Time after time after time, France, UK, Australia and Canada all simultaneously stand with terrorists and against the west.

Interesting contrast. Two weeks ago, US law enforcement exposed an Iranian plot to assassinate Ghamari. This week, Canadian law enforcement threatens Ghamari for saying mean things about the Iranian regime.

It’s not just school. It’s life. Self-esteem, pride, and confidence come from actually accomplishing hard things. Every time we lower the bar, we don’t just reduce what’s learned, we reduce what’s experienced as real achievement. Kids can’t CBT their way out of that deficit. They have to earn their way out of it. Until schools recommit to standards, teaching kids how to learn is just optimizing for a race with no finish line.

Christians around the world are being slaughtered for their faith. Nigeria. Pakistan. Syria. Sudan. Iran. The Congo. Myanmar. Bangladesh. Libya. Burkina Faso. Somalia. Yemen. Afghanistan. Europe. England. America. And all at the hands of Islamic extremism. This is genocide.

This is one of the best ways schools can support a student’s mental health: TEACH THEM WELL. Competence, and the confidence it brings, is addictive, reassuring, and the foundation of a secure sense of wellbeing. ‘I can do this. I understand things’ is a profoundly human way to flourish.
Daniel Willingham@DTWillingham

When students are anxious/depressed, one method of remediation might be TEACHING THEM TO DO SCHOOL BETTER. Just got this message from a mental health professional.
