We are outraged by - and strongly condemn - the unethical actions of the government in delaying restrictions on advertising of unhealthy food to 2025. Here is a reminder of why these policies are VITAL #AttackOnHealth🧵

Thanks to the @assvegpt for inviting me to talk about alternative protein at the first edition of the Legumina Conference. Lisbon is a very vegan-friendly city with lots of veg restaurants and shops. I even had vegan pasteis de nata!

Giving your little one these snacks is so easy and convenient.... but as parents, we should think twice and consider the long-term effects of sugar consumption on health. Fresh fruit is a better alternative! #SugarAwarenessWeek

.@EllasKitchenUK and @HiPPOrganic products rank the highest sugar per portion and have misleading health claims making parents think that the products are healthier than they really are #SugarAwarenessWeek bit.ly/3TB8D2J

'It's a scandal that certain food companies are being allowed to peddle their high sugar products to parents with very young children — despite being aware that babies and toddlers shouldn't be having any added at all." @actiononsugar dailymail.co.uk/health/article…

@TobiasLeenaert The problem is the word vegetarian. How about "chicken or....crunchy tofu stir-fry or...creamy lentil Bolognese pasta"

"Vegetarian or chicken?" "Chicken. Chicken. Chicken..." Almost every passenger on my flight chose the body of a tortured bird instead of a kinder alternative. I put on my headphones to stop hearing it. Flights should be an excellent place for a vegan-by-default strategy.

Despite such shockingly high sugar levels overall, the sugar content does vary amongst 'on the go' sweet snacks showing products can be made with far less sugar and sold in smaller portion sizes. These products have limited front of pack labelling too bit.ly/3Kh6h5n

Do veg documentaries cause people to eat fewer animals? A new RCT suggests maybe not. Documentary viewers were 242% more likely to say they intended to reduce meat than a control group. But 12 days later, they hadn’t done so. forum.effectivealtruism.org/posts/qgaKpgJf…
