@P1872__ Let's be honest... we need both
A scottish core that understand the league.
Foreign quality and steel for europe and improving the quality of the team.
We realistically need 10+ new players in the summer.... again
"Scottish bias"
Nathan patterson
Lewis ferguson
David watson
Elliot watt
James Penrice
Kenny Mclean
About as many as I can think of realistically in our price range and realistically signing for us, and probably better than what we have.
@P1872__ I dont think they could make such a public dance about it then not sign SOME scottish bias.
There would be a riot if the fans felt utterly lied to.
@Robertson4S We won’t sign a single Scot in the summer. Just like we didn’t in January.
Lots of talk to keep the fans on board. It will go away quickly. Prepare for 18 year olds on loan from random English clubs again
I know everyone has become accustomed to exorbitant amounts of injury time in Celtic games but playing for 4 days without the final whistle is really ripping the pish now.
@Sergio55Georgio No im saying hes leaving because I believe he is leaving ? His attitude just compounds that view.
I believe he will be away come 1st September after a good world cup and some decent money is put down. Danny rohl will want his own man in.
@Robertson4S So you are dismissing him as if he is leaving because you heard a rumour, he is the best or one of the best players we have , he is going to the World Cup
In total honesty id keep:
Kelly (scottish squad player)
Rommens
Fernandez
Sterling
Chukwuani
Barron (scottish squad player)
Curtis
Chermiti
Naderi (just)
Happily bin the rest
@Michael21200762 Erm? Dont believe your own eyes ? 😂
Mate, youre going on as if I was outside his house with a billboard 😂
He started shite, got quite good?
I never hounded him, never booed him. Actually spoke to his dad at park head in January.
This scenario you've created is false 😂
@chrissyr8289 Im not advocating relying on him any way. But keeping him in the squad during the rebuild for his ability to cover numerous positions would be wise.
Relying on him as first choice would be silly, as, like you say, his injury record is... not great...
@Robertson4S All apart from sterling . Driving about steaming like an idiot injuring himself . On top of never being fully fit he should be shown the door
@Michael21200762 As for fernandez, I was amazed martin wouldn't play him. Looked a unit day one, so, wrong again.
Moore early doors looked timid and to slight for scotland, but the ability was obvious.
Djiga started very well, fell apart, got better, then fell apart again. Complete enigma
@Robertson4S You looked at his goal return,
Looked at his previous stats and decided hes never a rangers player, same wae djiga, fernandez, Moore and many before them.
Made yer mind up before a baw was barely kicked
@Michael21200762 I didnt realise you were privy to my mind and conversations?
I seen him the first few games and what he offered, and yes, thought we had fucked up.
It wasnt until really, rohl come in that we seen his potential.
Anyone who says he hit the ground running is a liar
@Michael21200762 I admit, I thought at the start of the season he was a complete waste of money, as did everyone. A huge price tag by our standards, and to begin with he looked lost.
But I didn't "hound him out"
Hes improving, one of the few positives this season.
@Copland200 I think weve overlooked people in the past, like lewis ferguson and Lennon Miller
I like Elliott watt at mwell
Im not sure in honesty, im sure our scouting network could muster something up.
Maybe a bassey or aribo style, contract ending sorta thing?
Who knows
@Copland200 Mate, i absolutely appreciate the unsung hero in the middle of the park. And barron is good at it. But his lack of forward thinking is the difference between him and others weve had in that role in the past. As recent as a kamara or jack who still looked forward.
@Robertson4S I might be older than you but some of our best players have been unnoticed before they went. Guys who graft are just as important as the Laudrups and the Gascoins
@Sergio55Georgio I know nothing, which is why I said if the rumours are to be believed.
Its not a coincidence however that he downed tools in Belgium to get a move, then had a bust up with martin, now Rohl.
Its starting to look like hes an issue when it doesn't go his way...
@Copland200 Half agree. Hes the water carrier for sure. Unfortunately doesnt have the killer pass in his arsenal to unlock a defence consistently. If he can tidy that part of his game up, hes certainly worth keeping around
