What happened last night was not funny. Far-left activists disrupted the event, which then had to be stopped for security reasons. This is done to intimidate people and suppress free speech. I won't stand for it. Would we see the same reaction if the activists were far-right?

@1940Andy Agreed mostly. The thing that stood out for me is the sheer level of commitment of the Dutch. I am sure we are all aware of the way the schoolchildren around Arnhem and Oosterbeck 'adopt' casualties in the CWGC, but this level of spend is a different thing altogether.

A great story, but I’m not a fan of Guy’s presentation style - nice chap though he is. A pity the programme makers didn’t hold off until the military funeral(s) which would have been powerfully poignant.
