Chainsaw Man might not have the best ending, but much of it was still done well, especially its themes
Fujimoto brilliantly explores how desire distorts people, leaving them chasing things that never fully satisfy. Its messiness + overall ambition cement it as a staple of shonen

I take your word for it, but I still have a hard time wrapping my head around the idea that it’s just a question of lighting and textures making the two models look so different haha
I find it crazy how such minor changes can completely alter the character’s physique for me, because I swear I don’t see the same Lara at all when I switch from Rise to Shadow on Play!

With all due respect, Lara from Rise (the one I've played the most from the latest trilogy) really doesn't look like what you did with the textures on Shadow

@RobinDevaucher @AJLikesGames_ @JillValendyke @loonathesquirt again, that is false. like we know this from examining the models in blender, it's not fan speculation or anything like that. this photo i have here is where i've taken the rise textures and put them in game in shadow and they have the same head model.

I might have chosen a bad example, but it's clearly not the same person in Rise and Shadow (personally, I can definitely see the difference when I play the games). Even if they used Rise's model as a base, you can tell they modified certain aspects of his face. It's not just about the lighting, the environment, or the texture, in my opinion

Le touchant portrait d’une jeune génération japonaise perdue et anxieuse face à la pression sociale et professionnelle. C’est très mignon, rassurant et on s’attache sans mal à ces personnages.
D’une simplicité à l’efficacité redoutable.

@ComaSquash @regelegorila @MasterMalou Bh écoutes, je regarde que de la VOSTFR quand je peux depuis que j'ai 10 ans et je peux te dire que t'identifie facilement ce qui est dit et ce qui est montré, c'est automatique. Ça n'empêche pas d'avoir ton émotion esthétique ^^

Je joue en VO mais c'est chiant de lire et de jouer en même temps donc la VF sur les jeux c'est compréhensible.

I think what wouldve helped the ending of Chainsaw Man is if before Pochita erasing himself there was one more chapter, can be as short as 10 pages, of Asa talking about her forgiving herself to Yoru in a mindscape, n then at the end a page spread showing how the world has ended
