It was great to attend the opening of the new Reservoir Station yesterday morning. I joined Minister Jacinta Allan, Jenny Mikakos MP and Cr. Julie Williams for this exciting event. Thanks to all those who worked hard to help remove this dangerous and congested Level Crossing!

A milestone at Reservoir Level Crossing: the removal of the boom gates! The bells are silent - and next time you drive along High St you will pass under rather than over the line! The crossing will be closed until Christmas. Inconvenient, but it’ll be worth it in the long run!

The centre will offer language and youth services as well as community space for groups like the Australian Arabic Women’s Group. The Australian Islamic Centre is a source of great pride for Melbourne’s west and a shining example of our community’s multicultural success story.

I joined Melissa Horne and @RobinScottMP at the Australian Islamic Centre in Newport today for the announcement of a $475,000 grant from the Andrews Labor Government for the construction of an education centre on the iconic mosque site.
