I've signed up for a backyard ultra marathon in 11 weeks. Slightly ridiculous thing to do since I've not started training yet. Not quite sure what I was thinking. @UKRunChat peeps - training advice? Gradual long run mileage increase, I presume - what else?

Made a DIY Ramen dish tonight, with a couple of low and slow ingredients from the weekend: Asian style pork shoulder smoked for several hours via indirect heat and some beef bone broth simmered for about 36 hours 😮💨

@IAmBenRobertson Yeah - I've never done one where I've really made a proper effort with the broth, and kinda figured that was always going to cause issues!

@RobinWoollam Not sure what I made was that authentic. Had elements but was missing a few other bits. I’d argue that the stock/broth is the key and then throw in what you fancy in terms of textures and flavours of salt, spice and savoury.

@marykmac Is 10pm the cut off time? I've never been able to figure this out. Feels like a lottery what my ticket price will be - pretty sure I've sometimes got my morning ticket on the cheaper price an hour to two before. I'd assumed it was demand based.
