@benforta @arduino Backward compatibility ends where the use of AVR features begins. Normally Arduino gave their boards a different name whenever they implemented a different architecture. Why is this board named "UNO"?

Whoa! @arduino Uno R4 is 32 bit, faster processor, more memory, onboard WiFi and Bluetooth LE, USB-C, backwards compatibility with same form-factor iconic R3 … and an on-board 12x8 LED matrix (perfect for displaying real-time application feedback). This is a thing of beauty!

@RoboSpatium @arduino @E14Community No, you are only responsible to communicate right when something (in a tutorial for example) is based on a feature only a specific board has. Its a service for YOUR audience. Remember when the fake nanos/micros needed to get a bootloader flashed and a driver installed. Like that.

@MAYERMAKES @arduino @E14Community ...and I have to rewrite all the old tutorials to make sure people don't by an original UNO directly in the Arduino shop and still it doesn't work with my LED matrix code?

@MAYERMAKES @arduino @E14Community Besides making tutorials and giving support for Arduino products free of charge, I am now also responsible to communicate the trouble Arduino causes by breaking their very own naming convention? I am not amused!
