@notmegna Loud minority or not it doesnt lessen their impact nor the importance in the scene to try to move away from that

@Robyn1272 There are a subset of ppl who are def to toxic abt the exclusivity but I do think their probably the loud minority

Personally I feel like the best training resources and players shouldnt have a mindset of elitism to where they feel they should exclude or deny worse players from being able to have the best methods of practice or resources available to them I dislike ryugacord as a concept

@Robyn1272 Yeah I think that just is way less an issue with the server existing and way more an issue with the community, both the players bashing those for not being in, and also the players who are letting themselves get that upset about something like not being in a discord server

@ConsolePit This is what many of the best players of the game are doing atm and they use the prestige of groups like ryugacord to do it at times

@MickleChrom I suppose but what I said about examples of certain toxic mindsets about lower level players in the game still have and will happen and are made worse in the way the community tends to talk about ryugacord in my opinion clowning on lower level players for wanting to feel included

@Robyn1272 I’d be totally fine with that yeah I fully agree with this, but I don’t rly think it’s as big of an issue either? There is an open grindcord they have as well called bluxcord that’s what u said, but it could get a bit cluttered having it all in one server

@MickleChrom I mean I suppose but the real problem isnt with ryugacord but the community and how it acts at times esp the better players and the attitude they adapt about "oh ur not in so ur not worth my time" this is legit something ive experienced before in the past

@Robyn1272 It’s more a convenience thing and also it lets u find those good players way easier, like I can just ping the Pikachu or Luigi role if I want practice vs them instead of having to hunt people down. I’m not sure where the downside of having this option available is

@MickleChrom I feel like an open server with roles and locked channels for results based match making would be more inclusive of the community and feel less like youre walling off the less experienced

@Robyn1272 Sometimes I just wanna get fairly even practice, and the easiest way is to just ping a grindcord for it. It’s way easier to just @.training than having to dm person after person at 3 am for games until I find somebody available

@notmegna Eh its more speaking on the person I used to be and thoughts and experience of the past im not much of a grinder in the current day and so I myself am not exactly desperate for such opportunities theres plenty that are tho ^-^

@Robyn1272 I’m always open to hit up if u need practice or resources Also from my exp i tend to learn a lot more when fighting ppl on my level or higher & i consider myself mostly a casual so i dont like only try to fight that range but those who want to win brackets usually wanna fight up

@Robyn1272 I very much understand thinking it’s just elitism, but it’s not like “this is a method to dodge worse players”, it’s a “this is a method to find good players”. If anybody could get in, it’d lose the whole point of that. It’s not like people are gonna avoid playing 1-2’ers 1/2

@notmegna Just dm the good player u wanna play at that point for targeted games no need to create this elite club and make it seem to newer players like theres a barrier to entry or acceptance as thats how many players on the outside feel

@Robyn1272 It also could be lik When ur a 2-2er or 1-2er it’s rly easy to find good games on your level or above without pinging like 5 places and when ur higher than that then it starts to be annoying but again may be wrong idrk
