@SbodjoSbodjo @IkaFerrerGotic You just mentioned how it’s connected to their history. Just because it’s connected to medieval politics doesn’t mean it’s not part of their history.

@RoccSTLreal @IkaFerrerGotic meening what? why history before 1992. doesnt matter? don’t get me wrong i am not a defender of serbian politics, actions or activities in the 90s but the fact is that your “national” symbol has nothing to do with your history…its should be something more…islamic.

@IkaFerrerGotic @RoccSTLreal lilies, or fleur de lis, where insignia of house of anjou. first king of bosnia, tvrtko I, took it as his royal insignia when crowned as a king in late 14 century, for political reasons, to allign himself with powerful house of anjou. 90 years later they where conquered by turks.

@SbodjoSbodjo People keep saying that like it means anything. Bosnians have been in that region for hundreds of years. Acting like their culture begins in the 90s makes you look uneducated & petty.

1-1 is the final! Bosnia Herzegovina has trouble finding the back of the net & Panama played a perfect sit-deep-&-counter strategy Bosnia Herzegovina will hope for a boost once the World Cup starts, whereas Panama executed a similar gameplan to what they’ll do in group action

@RoccSTLreal Absolutely .I have Senegal and Marocco as dark horses of the tournament . Also all SA and CA teams will have a home advantage against the Europeans .There could be some huge upsets in Group stage .But I think mostly individual games , not that many in terms of passing the group

@RoccSTLreal I'm thinking of the same thing . Croatia or England could potentially struggle against Panama. The teams that re accustomed to the heat will have an advantage . That's why I'm (as a Bosnian) more scared of the game vs Canada than the game vs Switzerland

@ModernMurabitun The way that Panama’s counter attacking seemingly got more dangerous as every minute passed was 100% partly caused by fatigue. If teams like Morocco & Ecuador can keep it 0-0 until the 70’, things will get very interesting for the final 20+

It’s crazy how much the heat is gonna affect the group stages of this competition Teams who can handle this weather are gonna sit deep and then try to terrorize any Euros they face for the final 20-30 minutes. Could Panama play a similar game & get a decision vs. England?

@UrbanExplorer00 I think it’s because they paid good money for the ticket and don’t want to get kicked out. One blue flare got people in trouble. America is a country of regulation & risk-management. It’s not the fans fault.

This was the most popular Bosnian song during the 1992-1995 war. It was sung by Bosnian soldiers to their girlfriends and wives who were waiting for them at home. Lilies are a symbol of the Bosnian medieval kingdom and flags, which the people still wear today in defiance of our Serb-Croat enemies and our traitors, who tried to abolish them and replace them with a yellow triangle in order to satisfy our enemies. The Bosnian people affectionately called our soldiers "our lilies". Today, they call our national team players "our lilies".

Wrong, good Will Hunting. The Bosnian lilies (fleur-de-lis) on the historical flag and coat of arms symbolize the medieval Kingdom of Bosnia and its kings. Adopted by the Kotromanić dynasty, particularly under King Tvrtko I (crowned 1377), the blue shield with six golden lilies represented royal sovereignty and statehood until the Ottoman conquest in 1463. The lily draws from the native Lilium bosniacum (golden lily), a flower deeply embedded in Bosnian medieval culture. It transcends ethnicity, embodying shared Bosnian heritage and unity for all citizens as a symbol of ancient independence and resilience. You're welcome. | #Bosnia
Will Hunting@BalkanRealism

@RoccSTLreal @IkaFerrerGotic That's a war time flag that does not represent all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It's a flag where one ethnicity unilaterally declared independence and tried to set up a government without the consent of another ethnicity.
