Wishing the Scorpions legendary lead singer Klaus Meine a very Happy 78th Birthday. Born #OnThisDay in Hanover, Germany, Klaus joined the band in 1969 and along with Rudolf Schenker are the only 2 members to have played on every Scorpions album #ClassicRock

#OnThisDay in 1988, #VanHalen released their 8th album (2nd with Sammy Hagar) "OU812", featuring singles Black and Blue, When It's Love, Finish What Ya Started and Feels So Good. The album was their 2nd straight #1 record and is certified 4x platinum in the US #80s

#OnThisDay in 1999, #DefLeppard released "Promises" as the first single from their 7th album Euphoria. A return to the bands "signature sound", the song peaked at #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart and #18 on the Canadian singles chart. #ClassicRock
