Happy World Down Syndrome Day!!

This is so crazy! I am in DC this week to share my photographs of Tennessee’s closed state institutions for people with disabilities. My gallery show is Wednesday for World Down syndrome Day. And will be held at Arlington. The intent of the show was to show how far we have come. Yet, at the exact same time, the Tennessee House Health Subcommittee is considering HB3497/SB2146. This could erode all the progress made for fully integrated community inclusion and leave the door open for large scale facilities to house people with disabilities like me. World Down Syndrome Day is coming up on Thursday, March 21st. Jessica was invited to perform this past weekend at a Ds event & she’ll perform at another on the 21st. We’re not on X much right now, but we’re grateful that it gave us a place for her to share her music & her spirit!
