@BWheelerglobe At Grant Avenue Studio. Lorraine's mom used to have the band over for supper at their west mountain home.

@VaughnPalmer Wow ... that's been at least 40 years in the making. I remember writing about it in the 80s.

Site C reservoir now filled says BC Hydro. 1st generating unit running. Remaining 5 by fall 2025. Christy Clark started project with NDP opposed. In office, John Horgan twice decided to continue. Friend jokes “the Horgan Dam in front of Lake Christy.”

"This is a rare near-contemporary hit the Grateful Dead covered, joining ‘Hey Jude’ from 1969 and ‘Werewolves Of London’ in 1978. Robbie Robertson wrote the song and included it on his 1987 solo debut album. In 1991, Pop superstar Rod Stewart covered the song, and less than two years after its release, the Grateful Dead started covering it, sung by Phil Lesh. A very welcome addition to the setlist." - David Lemieux  After the Dead first introduced Robertson’s ‘Broken Arrow’ to their repertoire in February ‘93, they kept it in rotation, playing it another 34 times, including this performance in June of the same year at Rich Stadium in Orchard Park, NY.

Before I started the @VancouverSun 40 years ago today, all my jobs had been for less than a year! I never imagined I'd still be here 4 decades later! But I love being a reporter and writing about important issues in my city and province. #localnewsmatters

breaking news on CKNW: the passing of George Garrett. legendary is over used in our business but never with him. And if George were here, he would have broken this news 20 minutes before everyone else.

An under appreciated gem for so many years. Yet Beatles fans always knew and loved it. Now it’s going to be on the new Blue album. Would have preferred it to stay a buried gem to be discovered personally youtu.be/M4vbJQ-MrKo?si…

“While it remains the worst mass murder in Canadian history, an Angus Reid poll ahead of the 38th anniv. of the bombing found 9 in 10 people had little or no knowledge of the incident.” No wonder Canadians don’t understand Khalistan activism. #cdnpoli nationalpost.com/news/canada/ca…

@DouglasTodd It's so important to remember this ... can't believe the number of Khalistan stories I've read without mention of Air India/Narita bombings, both cooked up in the sleepy little town of Duncan. Context is everything. We shouldn't be a haven for terrorists, nor should we allow
