Hello to anyone who may read this. I’m looking for some 'sole' searching advice. I’ve been in compression bandages on one leg for a couple of years due to slow-healing wounds, complicated by a recent diagnosis of Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD). To be completely transparent, the original wounds stem from significant self-injury and subsequent skin grafts that have struggled to heal. I’ve lived with self harm as a coping mechanism this since I was 12, but I want to share that I no longer self-harm. I’m a complicated soul (#dissociativeidentitydisorder #eatingdisorder #autism) but remain focused on my healing journey. Right now, my biggest hurdle isn't just the discomfort—it’s the footwear. I love walking, but I can’t find anything that fits the bandaged foot without being huge on the other. For those in a similar boat: Do you buy two different sizes of the same shoe? Are there specific brands or 'adaptive' styles that worked for your mismatched feet? Are there any charities or exchanges you've used for different-sized shoes? #ZSHC This afternoon my beloved Finn was put down at the vet. He had an inoperable tumor in his snout that had grown so large that he could no longer eat properly. This morning he refused to eat breakfast and only ate a few treats.
