Rockingham County offices and facilities will be closed on Friday, April 3, 2026 in recognition of Good Friday. Normal operating hours will resume on Monday, April 6. Online services will remain available at RockinghamCountyNC.gov.

Due to increased wildfire risk and ongoing dry conditions, a statewide burn ban has been issued across all 100 counties beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 28 and will remain in effect until further notice.

We are entering spring wildfire season, and conditions are still very dry. Fires can start fast and spread quickly. Many wildfires start by escaped yard burns. Avoid burning on dry or windy days, keep water and tools nearby, and never leave a fire unattended. @ncforestservice
