This year's theme for #BlackHistoryMonth is 'Saluting our Sisters', and for us that means recognising the achievements of Black women in the games industry and beyond. For any aspiring Black game developers looking to join the industry, we asked Natalia, Associate Producer at Rocksteady, what advice she would give! “Just because you don’t see yourself: Don’t give up. It took me years to realise that it’s not about there not being a space for you, it’s about you creating that space. I didn’t see myself in video games growing up at all. But once I realised there were people shouting and pushing for Black representation, I knew that my voice could be heard. Play the game. What do you see? What don’t you see? Can you see yourself? If not, how would you become part of that world? No matter the game. Ok. So you’ve found your place. What’s stopping you from emailing someone about it? That’s what I did!”
