Trying to pool data from diagnostic studies means knowing the raw data, but that's not always given. This app lets you enter what is given, and it titerates through all possibilities to give you most likely candidates: try to break it for me please: …ixcalculator-app-rubass.streamlit.app

I said pressure pain thresholds were a bust - statistically we had an increase at the site of pain (not at Tib ant on the same leg or the elbow) but I think this effect is pretty small when you look at the raw data, & maybe down to this group starting a wee bit lower

I really thought BFR analgesia was placebo so we did a sham-controlled crossover RCT (ant knee pain) onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/pdf/10.115… Seems like there's something "real" there, not related to sensitisation (pressure-pain was a bust) When you need "real" strengthening but can't-good option

@ActivateGlutes @kcrehabguy Markers *and* physical measures like pain, strength, range of motion function. Deserves another look Tony. RCT on real muscle injuries starting any day now to see if it's the same in the real world as well as these isokinetic +e-stim induced injuries.

@kcrehabguy They lost me at 'markers of muscle damage'. Yet another acute study interpreted as though it were longitudinal. I'll wait on ordering the hot tub.

Oh boy. This was interesting. Some of the physiological stuff was over my head, but very interesting findings in regards to muscle force, pain, and muscle damage cold vs. hot. One issue though is time of exposure in each. Maybe a factor? Open access. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/40437768/
