He led all area receivers with 68 receptions for 1,244 yards and 18 touchdowns, making him the only Stark County-area player to surpass 1,000 receiving yards. Scored 20 total touchdowns, including two 2-point conversions, and finished with 124 points. Excelled on defense, leading the area with six interceptions (two returned for touchdowns) and contributing 37 tackles. Also served as the team’s punter, averaging 34.5 yards per attempt. Smith was named Eastern District Co-Offensive Player of the Year alongside teammate Jared Witherow.
