It's interesting to note that the weather radar covering Goiânia is currently offline, and as far as I know, MotoGP doesn't have its own weather service like F1 does with radar, which makes real-time rainfall forecasting (nowcasting) for this event virtually impossible.

Race Control did not provide the traditional official risk of rain 15 minutes before the start. Since 2017 (when I have reports), this has never happened. This information is provided by the official FIA meteorological service.

@MeteoMotorsport Yes. There has always been official information about the risk of rain 15 minutes before the race. At least since 2016, there always has been, without exception. A failure. 😳

#F1 #ChineseGP 🇨🇳 With ~20 minutes to go before the start of the Sprint, the official track temperature sensor is showing a lower reading than the air temperature, due to being in the shade. Soon, the sun will hit the sensor, and the track temperature will increase rapidly.
