Congratulations to Geras Post Doctoral Fellow Dr. Isabel B. Rodrigues (@Rodrigues_IB) the publication of the MAPS-B study funded by @HamHealthSci, @MIRAMcMaster @AGEWELL_NCE and @CIHR_IA! ⭐️ This research provides valuable insights into the patterns and reasons behind #sedentary behavior in older adults, highlighting the complexity of targeting such behaviors for health interventions 📝 🏃

@scottcarlinpt You joke, but sometimes we get weird advice even if it is not April 1st. My pelvic health physio told me to stop running and do light exercises during pregnancy even though I've been a strong runner for 10+ years and was a low risk pregnancy. Luckily, I ignored this advice.

You probably shouldn't start running. It's just not worth the risk.

📣 Excited to share the main results of the BEST SIBS Study. Siblings (youth and young adults) identified the roles that they have with their sibling with a #neurodisability & they require supports to prepare for their future roles (e.g. caregiver). onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11…

@sarahemilnes @l_giangregorio I find it easier to start with conversations on ontology, epistemology, and theoretical perspectives. Then based on those perspectives, one can take on a positivist, post-positivist, etc approach which then determines the types of qual methodology and analysis

Just gave a talk about the awesome research we are doing in the lab. There were great questions, discussions, and food! Can’t wait to come back in the future to give an update on the research presented today #newpi

@bartley_lowe @_amyhuang_ I actually don't agree with the saying. I have work under review that found context-specific sitting and prolonged sitting (>60 mins) are neg associated with muscle outcomes. Total sedentary behaviour may not be as important as not all behaviours are the same or necessarily "bad"
