Police Deputy Commissioner assaults Black woman—for observing him on public sidewalk. Hits her so forcefully—she goes flying backwards several feet. Woman hit the ground hard—but he just walks away without checking on her. Attacker was Deputy Commissioner Craig Macy of Buffalo Police Department. The Chief of Police issued a statement saying the video was "concerning" and needed "review." All of the officers involved are still on the job—not placed on administrative leave. Incident occurred in the entertainment district on Chippewa Street in downtown Buffalo, New York.
