This crisis was always going to happen once Council properties were sold off under Mrs Thatcher & councils were not able to use the proceeds to replenish their stock. There desperately needs to be a massive house building programme in the public sector & I fully support this.

It is outrageous that young people today are unable to find enough money to put down a deposit on a house while having to rent in the private sector because of the paucity of Council accommodation.

#HS2 is a complete vanity project which I have totally opposed from Day 1. I said in Parliament it would cost far more than the original estimates and I regret that this has proven to be the case.

I support securing and strengthening the hunting ban 🦊 I completed the #UnitedAgainstHunting candidate survey here 👉 UnitedAgainstHunting.co.uk/take-action. If I am re-elected on 12th December then I will continue to vote against any proposals to change the legislation on fox hunting.

You may hear some people within the Labour Party say that I will “split the Labour vote.” This is just a scare tactic and is nonsense. In the 2017 general election I received 42,143 as the Labour candidate. The Conservatives received 8199, the Lib Dems 3137 & the Greens 831.

It has been six months since our Parliament declared a climate and environment emergency. I voted for this. #ClimateChange is a threat to all mankind and we cannot wait until 2050 to have a zero emissions economy.

The 1250 members of the Hall Green Labour Party were never given a chance to decide who they wanted to represent them. Instead the official candidate was imposed upon them by the Labour Party. But in this election you will have a choice between 2 Labour supporting candidates.

I am Labour and my values are Labour, but when push comes to shove the interests of my constituents come first. That is why I have voted against the political conformity of the “Whip” on a number of occasions. I even voted for a 2nd Referendum before Labour changed its position.
