Hey Little Rock area, know folks who need space for a small business (including cooking), nonprofit, community theater, band practice, offering mental health services, sports, or anything else, let me know. I have 60k Sq.Ft to use. Contact me at jbarringer@phbc.com. Thanks!

@videotroph @RustinBreakfast That's funny. I don't know why this was at the top of my feed today, but I am currently finishing up a dissertation on Rustin, friendship, and economic justice. Anyway, happy to see this and "meet" another person with some of these interests.

Brief dissertating break to note my newest essay, "Jesus Is Not Just My Homeboy: A Friendship Christology," was published today in the Journal of Moral Theology as part of a symposium honoring the great theologian Paul Wadell. jmt.scholasticahq.com/article/18906-…

I concur. Also, Fellipe is one of the best and smartest friends and colleagues one could ask for. He made entire semesters out of burying mine and other people's arguments with his intellect but never once did harm because of his humility.

There is a difference between considering something to be morally wrong and the treatment we think is due to those who have done something morally wrong. Christianity has things to say about each, summarized in the command to love (what is due) your enemy (the wrongdoer).

@GuerillaTheo Yes! I love that Bayard Rustin and MLK used the word "abolition" in regards to poverty because it invoked a sense of being able to overcome something that seems impossible, just as folks thought for centuries that slavery could not be abolished, but it was.

@FellipeDoVale1 Yes and amen! I am so glad to count you as my friend and colleague. I wish both the church and the larger society could make that distinction when it comes to the hot button issues of the day. It would help us actually respond to them well.

I don't know how to share the video without Rubio's garbage commentary, but to the video itself, I say, amen, amen, and amen! twitter.com/i/status/13290…

Not shocked #Georgia Democrat Senate candidate Raphael Warnock said “You cannot serve God and the military” at the same time. These & even crazier things is what the radicals who control the Democratic party’s activist & small dollar donor base believe twitter.com/NathanBrandWA/…
