@Rogue_Storm_ Yes. I have read both comics. Ashake is my favorite of Storm's ancestors. ROGUE STORM was originally pitched to be ASHAKE: MOTHER OF STORM. I'm probably referencing these concepts at a subconscious and conscious level.

@Rogue_Storm_ Yes. G.O.D.S. does that classification of the guiding forces of existence in such a way. The discussion there is on the level of science/magic, the primal forces of order and chaos, and the philosophical level of balance and askew.

@SiteJamesons Prejudicial foi ter colocado Ororo no núcleo mutante de novo onde os roteiristas e editores nunca souberam bem o que fazer com ela.

Muito se fala em como a Tempestade e o Pantera Negra formam um casal tão incrível no papel, mas pouco se fala o quão prejudicial isso foi para a Ororo, enquanto personagem, na prática. Por incompetência dos roteiristas da época, ou por qualquer que sejam os motivos, infelizmente essa decisão criativa a inseriu como Rainha de Wakanda e a afastou do núcleo mutante. E foi justo em um período em que a mutandade passava pelo seu momento mais crítico. O resultado foi que a personagem virou uma coadjuvante de luxo e sem relevância na franquia nessa época. E olha que a Jean Grey estava morta nessa época, então espaço havia para ela brilhar. Mas infelizmente deixaram ela esquecida em Wakanda. Quem aproveitou esse gap foi a Emma Frost, que cresceu demais nos X-Men. E a Marvel teve de forçar o Wolverine como rival ideológico do Ciclope (que até acho que fez sentido pro personagem, mas seria muito melhor a Tempestade nessa função). Por isso sou tão fã do trabalho do Al Ewing em X-Men Red, colocando a Ororo como protagonista e Regente do Sistema Solar. Sendo um dos pilares mais importantes da mutandade.

@WorldOfAntoine Storm has never been properly developed. Her growth has always been held back. Even today, we still haven’t seen her fight her battles alone as a solo hero, on two occasions when she faced two thunder gods, she needed the help of a team.

Have to push back with Storm here just a tad. She was a unicorn of sorts. She was lucky enough to #1 be written to be respected, #2 she was the lead of marvel’s biggest franchise and team for most of the 80’s and 90’s in varying capacity. She always got a certain level of respect because they didn’t have a choice but to tbh. But in general you are absolutely right. There’s a clear disconnect on many levels.
