One of the problems in software development has not been writing code. It has been explaining the problem to a human developer. We humans rarely describe what they want in a clean, structured way. We ramble, contradict ourselves, change direction halfway through, and often discover what we actually mean only while speaking. Software development expects perfect inputs - which acts as a gap between a not-so-well-explained human problem and the simple solution. AI bridges that gap: it welcomes imperfect human way of communication. Modern AI can infer intent from messy conversations, ask clarifying questions, separate requirements from noise, and translate confusion into an plan. In many ways, it acts as an interpreter between human thought and machine execution - before it starts the execution. Sometimes it also helps humans to understand how to articulate their problem better. You could say AI gives monkeys the ability to express their problems better. A person no longer needs to think like a programmer or product manager. They simply think out loud. The AI identifies the real problem, organises scattered ideas, and often articulates the solution better than the person who requested it. The next generation of AI-powered software development isn't better because people have become better at communicating. In fact, the other way round. It's succeeding because AI has become exceptionally good at understanding human confusion - which sometimes makes humans understand their own communication better.

A smart guy grabbed @TrustMRR 6 months ago… then vanished. Meanwhile, I’m over here paying for X Premium on @Trust_MRR while people keep tagging the wrong account 😭 I’d be willing to rent out my body for an hour or so in exchange for that handle, @nikitabier.

Hiring them will be encouraging, sending them a legal notice will be the right approach. Because that person is possibly also the mastermind behind some secret group that teaches the same thing to 500 other people across the world. You are not making your product better if only 0.0001% of users are "creative spammers", you are fighting a war against them.

There are a few spammers on X that have been pivoting their strategy for the last 6 months. One of the them (“This guy is a great trader ⬇️”) has pivoted a total of 40 times after each method has been blocked. Some of the techniques are so creative and fast that it feels like they’re sitting right next to us. At this point, we might as well hire them because they are just as familiar with the X codebase as us.

Now my mac checks for all emails (7days at a time) every night and sends me a report of top spammers. Keeps a log in google drive and runs again next time. And in morning writes a report about emails received in last 24 hours and if something needs my attention. Across all my emails. Finally! Thank the AI lords! 🙏

I get an app idea. I start working on it because I find it useful. I see similar apps on the internet. I get demotivated. I stop working on it. Never make it public. Repeat with other ideas. Can I somehow overcome this crap?

I am trying to use Claude to help me write something, but I just don't feel comfortable letting it edit my files. Does anybody else feel the same? If I am responsible for code, I NEED to understand it, psychologically if for no other reason. Started programming in 1983. Old?
