If I had to pick one corner of Web3 to send a complete beginner to first not for speculation, not for quick money, but for genuine understanding of what this technology can do I would send them to Web3 gaming every single time. Here’s why. Web3 concepts are notoriously hard to explain in the abstract. What does “decentralized ownership” mean to someone who’s never thought about who owns their Instagram followers? What does “on-chain assets” mean to someone who’s never held a crypto wallet? These ideas are real and important but they’re also invisible and invisible things are hard to care about. Gaming makes them visible. When you play My Neighbor Alice and you own a piece of land that you can see, decorate, develop, and sell you understand blockchain ownership viscerally in a way that no whitepaper can teach you. When you receive $ALICE tokens for participating and you can actually do things with them inside the game buy items, vote on governance, trade with other players you understand tokenomics from the inside rather than the outside. @Roithe1rst The goal isn’t to know more. It’s to “become more capable”. couldn't have said it better, I used to always read and watch videos about writing articles but now I'm actually doing it and I'm getting alot better
