O the blooming
O the blossoming
What a joyous celebration
Is life!
O the withering
Savoring each
Fragile pleasure
Of living
While we cling to the precious gift of life!

Said the wind
To the autumn leaf,
It’s time dear leaf
Follow me
Let my caresses
Take you to paradise
No more struggles
Dear leaf
No more pain
Just rest in
Nature’s embrace
It’s easy
Follow me
Come on dear leaf
It’s time
Here I’ll help you
As I gently blowww
dear leaf
Just let go

Two beings so close
We dance in each
others dreams
We love
Laugh
Play and
Pray together
And we smile

Harvest Moon (Cover) - Neil Young by Foxes and Fossils youtu.be/xA0Vl0gre6U?si… via @YouTube
Come a little bit closer
Hear what I have to say
Just like children sleepin'
We could dream this night away
But there's a full moon risin'
Let's go dancin' in the light

O poet of old
You sold your soul
Where are your sweet ballads of
Yesteryear?
Their shadows linger over my
Lonely, lonely heart
They whisper to me
I’m here, I’m here
Buried in the worries of
Your fears.

Ekphrastic free verse inspired by @mk0600937254693's ink-style boat fishing scene, interpretively set on Lake Biwa. A daughter's quiet legacy amid dusk's glow.
Biwa's Solitary Angler
At dusk, Lake Biwa imbibes the glow,
Her weathered boat sways, an ink-wash stroke.
She sits, a still point amid the swells,
Her silhouette, keen as a quill's tip,
Etches solitude against the sun's dying ember.
Her rod and reel, finely wrought, glint—
A master's heirloom, her father's bequest.
Eyes locked on the water's mercurial sheen,
She casts with resolve, her line a pledge
To kin whose hollow bowls await at hearth.
The lake's gentle throb cradles her solitude,
Yet reeds and ripples intone her prowess.
Her hands, schooled by paternal echoes,
Thread line through reel with unyielding poise.
The sunset cascades like sake spilled,
Its ephemeral blaze a tribute to her—
A girl whose trade binds lake and firmament,
Her muted pride a heritage endured.
For hamlet, for kin, she anchors her vigil,
A lone luminary in Biwa's core.

One errant pitch
One mistake
We nearly had it all
And now we
Fall
Fall into ignominy
The only team that
couldn’t
Wouldn’t
Shouldn’t
Go to the World Series!
Aaaah!
It’s a mortal wound..
This loss, this one loss
Cuts deep!
