@FinanceTiger It’s a home and security first. Second it’s an enormous asset once the mortgage is paid off (interest usually similar to rent) and any gain is 100% tax free. The market is slower for sure. But. There’s life in the old dog yet.

The oil crisis isn’t good for anyone but if building costs rise as house prices fall, who will build homes that make no profit? Ironic that lower prices will mean fewer homes.
