@fifteenai Platform fees usually downstream of processors but granted, can imagine improving the arbitrage if you're an artist working past the tier of say kofi/substar. Easy to try to sidestep censorship but the problem lately is even if you're not interested in it, it's interested in you.

Having talked to hundreds of artists in the last two years, I can tell you for a fact that one of the most consistent complaints about platforms like Etsy are the exorbitant platform fees they impose with no viable alternatives. Also, those issues with payment processors are generally localized to NSFW artists, not with SFW ones (which is the target audience of the platform at launch). Supporting NSFW content isn't impossible but is substantially more fragile and complex; it is a top priority for me to support it, and I'm looking into workarounds for that.

Within the next week, I'll be unveiling my biggest project yet: a marketplace platform that will easily let artists and creators sell online for ZERO platform fees. An insane amount of research and development went into this; in the last two years, I attended more than 30 conventions and shadowed so many talented artists, musicians, and writers in order to completely immerse myself in what creatives go through just to sell their work.
