You bring up great points as always. I like the hard money idea because Litecoin has a capped supply and it's backed by a robust network and sound cryptography. I hear you on being considered second best. Silver to Gold analogy still works for me because silver is used in manufacturing and fits the LTC is becoming productive evolution. Silver has also been worth more than gold several times throughout history. However, I do especially like the idea of calling LTC platinum. Also, I like the idea of calling LTC electrum: In ancient times, there was a naturally occurring alloy of gold and silver called Electrum. Because it was a natural blend, the ancients valued it highly, and the very first coins minted in Lydia (modern-day Turkey) were made from it. This is definitely something that should be discussed as a community.
