I voted for Scholten in 2022 and 2024 but do not plan to vote for her this year. Hopefully she has an anti-genocide third party opponent.

Rather than Rand Paul's highly dishonest attacks on Fauci, I wish there was a serious Congressional investigation as to how both Trump & Biden ignored medical recommendations, causing hundreds of thousands of unnecessary deaths from the Covid pandemic & enabled it to become a mass disabling event.

@perrelli_roland Fauci's research had nothing to do with the start of the pandemic. Gain of function research is valuable to develop vaccines and treatments for viruses. Fauci was not doing gain of function research on the strain which started the pandemic.

I don't know what he is talking about. The scientific consensus is that Covid originated from animal spillover. It most likely occurred in the wild and subsequently spread to humans at the wet market.

The thing that pisses me off about Fauci is that over a dozen scientists told him that the virus was very likely man-made, only two said it might have come from nature. He lied about the scientists consensus and said they concluded it was natural. That makes scientists look bad.

Biden used a primarily vaccine only strategy with a vaccine which did not block transmission & was intended to only be one part of a comprehensive approach. Biden politicized the CDC and put out statements such as that masks were not needed if fully vaccinated when the medical recommendations were to continue masks in 2021 There was tremendous other misinformation including the misleading Community Levels maps which said levels were low & masks not needed when the Community Transmission maps for medical facilities showed high levels and a need for masks. Biden reduced standards for time off work first to 5 days then 1 resulting in people returning to work & school while still contagious. He lied about the pandemic being over. Biden also greatly downplayed Long Covid.

@RonChusid What he's talking about are the Fauci papers that were recently subpoenaed which showed that not only did most of the people consulted believe it was a lab leak, Fauci knew that before making statements to the contrary and took action to bury that consensus.
