@DouthatNYT And your "model" as stupid as it is, does not take into account the Selzer poll in Iowa and the Kansas Speaks poll in Kansas, showing a much tighter race in both those states, indicating a broad swath of the midwestern United States is shifting to Harris.

My "model" -- Trump won when he was behind in the polls in 2016, almost won when he was way behind in the polls in 2020, now he's even in the polls with his best numbers ever, nothing in the early vote to strongly contra-indicate his victory, bet on him to win.

What I've been expecting since the spring, no reason to hedge now.

@DouthatNYT That is so elementary. The polls have over-adjusted for Trump this time around, it stands to reason that Harris has a 3 to 4 point lead nationally. "Nothing in the early vote" WTF? No one knows who voted what in the early vote, clown. But gender gap turnout was huge for Harris.
