Holley was killed on 3 April 2018 in the crash of a Sikorsky CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego. He is remembered as an outgoing man honored as an innovator who saw "the silver lining of everything." 🙏

My name is Chris and I’m an alcoholic. Today is Good Friday and Day 20 waking up sober. This day always makes me stop and think about sacrifice, pain, and what real love looks like. The kind that leads to new life on the other side. These past 20 days haven’t been easy. Feels like I’ve been carrying some heavy weight, letting old habits die, and facing stuff I used to numb with a drink. But I’m showing up clearer, with more energy, no hangovers, and actually present for my kids and life. Sobriety didn’t take anything from me, it’s giving me back everything I almost lost. One day at a time. Sometimes one minute at a time. Grateful for another sober day on this holy Friday.

Surgery went well. They had to remove my appendix while doing the reversal surgery so another big surgical incision. They had to remove my appendix because it and my small intestines fused together which caused me some issues and they couldn't separate them. God is Good!
