PS War Powers Act of ‘73 lets a President begin military action without Congress. Just has to notify— which he did publicly today and will officially w/in 48hrs. AND he won’t send troops on the ground. This is bombing + counter missile defense PS last time Congress actually declared war: 1942 (against Hungary + Bulgaria + Romania). Not Iraq, Or Vietnam or Korea

@SenFettermanPA If you feel it is such a righteous act, then you should have no problem voting to authorize the actions as a declaration of war as outlined in the Constitution.

@dccommonsense The constitution never mentions unalienable rights, that's the declaration of independence. The authors of the constitution didn't even think it necessary to list any rights. That's why there are amendments, because thinkers like Federal Farmer felt rights needed to be defined

See, that's where you've made a mistake. They aren't "arbitrary laws" they are "unalienable rights" that you get just by being born a person. The fact that you think they may BE arbitrary is in part why we are in this mess we're in.
