@realBillWirtz Idiot? Regardless of your cap FLOOR it's an overpay. You're paying for nostalgia, jersey sales and making fans happy. It's working because you along and every other Hawks fan are stoked about having him back and that's awesome. Not 1 other team would pay him over half that $

@ByGerrySullivan What? I'm not sure how you came up with that calculation but let's be clear. Tuch has never been nor will ever be in the same league as Kane. So to do a side by side $ comparison is laughable. Besides no one knows what the NHL landscape will be in 7 years.

Patrick Kane is 37 and just got $8 million. In 7 years, when Alex Tuch is 37, the NHL salary cap will probably be much higher. Let’s conservatively say 50% higher. That makes Kane’s $8M equivalent to about $12M in 2033 dollars. Tuch at $10.5M could end up looking like a bargain.

@SabresBuzz @FriedgeHNIC Kane would have been a great addition for ⚔️ at $3M AAV. He’d be a liability at anything north of $4M. The overpay is worth it only for the Hawks. Kane is getting both the love and the $ he wants to close out his career while the Hawks get an energized fan base.

@mkobach Let’s be clear he is not earning $60 million. 100% of the show is produced by McAfee. Production costs, employees, travel, etc…. is all paid for by McAfee. Is he making a lot of money…yes. $60 million..no. Minimum his show cost $100k per day to produce.

@WGR550 7 false starts, 3 holding penalties & gave up 6 sacks. At 32 he has showed signs of decline. The good news is he has recognized this and has dropped 40 lbs this offseason. Will it help?

There was a lot of buzz about Dion Dawkins' play last season over the offseason... but the guys don't quite get why people were upset. What did you think of Dawkins last year? Do you expect improvement?

@JLas43_ He went to the island of Jacoby Ellsbury. Makes you wonder what is really going on. Tkachuk played on a blown out knee in playoffs, Josh Allen on a broken foot for 12 gms last year. Insurance payouts? Steinbrenner is currently selling a % of the team.

@SamboraItalia Please. Without Jon Bon Jovi no one knows who Richie Sambora is today. I’m not saying he isn’t great and his contribution to the band wasn’t huge but there’s zero chance he is even talked about today or held in high esteem if he wasn’t on the same stage with Jon.

From T. Ahern. Is Richie Sambora the real secret behind the Bon Jovi sound? 🎸 The "Goddess of Pop" herself, Cher, spilled some major truth on the Howard Stern Show about why she thinks Richie was the backbone of the band. "I think he was responsible for the sound," Cher told Howard. "That harmony above Johnny... Richie was like, a brilliant singer! And that's why Johnny wouldn't let him sing onstage." Even with time, the respect is still there: "Yeah, of course, I still love Richie," she added. 👑 What do you think? Was Richie the true architect of their signature sound? Drop your thoughts below! 👇 @TheRealSambora @cher @HowardStern

@Matt_Bove I’m amazed at the blowback towards Krebs’ contract. He is a valuable player. Plays a ton on the 1st line, closes out games, is always a pain in the other teams a$$ and never takes a shift off. Complaining about $4.5 per is quite laughable. He had 39pts and was +13.

Krebs is interesting because he’s a fourth liner until literally anyone gets hurt and then he’s the guy who usually goes in and fills in that role. There’s value to that.
Brian@brian_mulhern

@Matt_Bove That a lot of money for a guy who is a 4th liner

@rocher6475 @dugoutforever Yes that is correct. The hitter can still swing and out the ball in play. But if the batter does not swing the pitch cannot be called a strike.

@DesireeAmerica4 Law sides with UPS driver 100% of the time. Read the case law. The dog provoked the situation, driver was given permission by owner to go on the property when he asked for delivery. The onus is NOT on the carrier to decipher the dog’s intention.

Former CIA officer Larry Johnson says a U.S. bombing campaign will never be successful in getting the Iranian government to capitulate—arguing the strategy is actually solidifying the regime by rallying public support. “A bombing campaign has NEVER worked in history… What Americans haven’t paid attention to is this week—the first time in the history of the world… 45 million Iranians came out in support of the government in the streets… to commemorate the burial and funeral of the Ayatollah.” Watch The Matt Gaetz Show on OAN Live today!

@hangarhockey Last year he missed the playoffs. His .895 SV% 36th and 2.86 GAA 14th amongst qualifying goaltenders. Let’s talk his last 3 playoffs. 3.67 gaa & .865 save % rank him dead last in the NHL. Is he great..yes but not when it counts. It’s a fair trade offer for 33yo on decline
