Left my iPad on JANSATABDI EXP travelling from Guwahati to Dimapur yesterday. I realised only after getting off. Got it back today from the RPF team at Mariani Jn. Still a little amazed (and very relieved). Grateful to everyone across Indian Railways who helped coordinate this.

HSLC exam is next week in Nagaland. These class 10 students in Govt Higher Secondary School, Aghunato, did not have Math & English teacher for an entire year. This is so sad.

The reported assault on Pastor Bipin Bihari Naik in Odisha — forcing him to eat cow dung and chant religious slogans — is a shameful violation of human dignity and constitutional freedom. No faith gives license to violence. India must confront this growing culture of mob impunity.

My thought after today’s discussion. Heat is still treated as an episodic disaster in policy, not as a chronic urban risk. Integrating ‘heat’ as risk into everyday governance; building bye-laws, waste policies, may be the missing link? Kudos @boka_rochill on ushering this talk.

Dimapur weather so terribly hot, no difference between August and mid October. Been sweating gallons man.

My mother shared how impressed she is with the comprehensive mock drill conducted by @StateDisaster in her school today. Students were taught survival skills & first-aid. A clear reflection of the government’s growing commitment towards disaster preparedness & public safety.
