@RoninDude
⚔Welcome to my game dev account! I'm an artist learning the Godot game engine and making my first game, "The Black Road"!

@bee_flat_major I'm deeply enjoying the process!
While I might take a break to make a smaller project from time to time, I am dedicated to spend as long as it takes to finish this. I enjoy every session I've worked on it this last year, and it hasn't dulled at all. I'm kind of addicted to it.
English

@RoninDude Glad to see you're sticking with it despite difficulties!
English

@RoninDude It's very difficult lol, I've been typing for almost 2 days now xD but people are just too awesome, I enjoy that they have ideas I wouldn't think about on my own even if I'm in the industry!
English

@Ronin_Rouge @GregMikaels @shadeprotocolGM I can only tell you what I'm using, which is Godot. I chose it because it's free and looked interesting from some youtube videos I watched. But I have not tried others, so I have no point of reference for which engine might serve a better purpose.

While I’m working on my manga projects, I’m also developing an RPG game idea and story.
Indie devs, what computer skills are essential for creating a small RPG?
Any tips & advices are welcome. Thank you so much! #indiegame #indiedev

@Zoroarts I was telling my wife yesterday about your story because it was very inspiring! Getting to hear about stories like yours on the podcasts I watch is very helpful when plotting out and adjusting my own journey. I consider that relevant, and I appreciate that you shared it!
English

POV: You are a 23 years old solodev and your second game was sold 130,000 times, so you decide to Jump on a podcast and share how you developed, marketed and released the game…
And then you read comments like this 😅 Even from another dev…

Jonas Tyroller@JonasTyroller
I interviewed @Zoroarts, the creator of Paddle Paddle Paddle. Easy to think he got lucky, but the more you listen the more you realize he got the right attitude and is actually cooking.

@GregMikaels @Ronin_Rouge @shadeprotocolGM I am very new to game dev myself, so I don't feel qualified to give advice. That said, i feel like programming is going to help a lot in any game project. I know some engines let you build without code, but code gives you way more flexibility.
English

@RoninDude You're doing good, homie. I can't wait to make it one of the games I never uninstall
English

@RoninDude @TTripod When you have a demo, please remember this humble Samaritan, hahaha, Please also include Spanish in the full version when you release it; 90% of the people in the Americas speak Spanish (only the US, Canada, Brazil, and Guyana They don't speak native Spanish) <333
English

@RoninDude @TTripod You're not asking for money? I'd pay to play a demo of that, hahaha
English

@didjee01 I appreciate it 😄
Honestly just got sidetracked thinking about the interesting topic of judicial duels lol
I'll be fine, and the project will continue on. 😎
English

@RoninDude Sure, but i’m convinced that this profile is rarest than all all these depressive nobody trolls of internet who try to relieve their unhappyness by insulting people 😉
Statistically, it worth the try !🤣
English

@didjee01 Fair! but that's why I mentioned professional. Like in historical times when they still did dueling, being a skilled killer would give you an edge.
English

@RoninDude Ahhh, good topic ! bullies are bullies because they choose their victims. If you have one person, unknown, with a weapon, the perspective is very different. Bullies don’t like to take blows. They are cowards indeed 😂
English

@sotr_game No, the setting of this game is far into a dark potential future for my DnD setting. But I am putting in lore bits and unique items from my player party.
English

@RoninDude ...are these heroes the player party you're GMing for? I can only imagine what it's like when your GM turns you into a hero of their franchise.
English

@sotr_game I am planning to seed discoverable lore here and there. I have lots, because the setting is a refined version of the homebrew D&D setting I've been running since 2017. Thanks for the comment!
English

@RoninDude It looks like a lovechild of Darkest Dungeon and Fear & Hunger - love all the blood and grimdark vibe. Hoping the combat comes with equally dark lore to uncover about the world.
Good luck with development!
