🍓 I planted strawberries once and basically ignored them
Now they’re flowering like this
And it reminded me how low-effort, high-reward this plant actually is

24hr difference, starting my own little vineyard
This young plant is more than future wine 🍇
Its leaves feed caterpillars → caterpillars feed birds → birds reduce pests.
A tiny food web starting on one branc

Patience is key. If the bees do their job, I’ll be snacking on fresh cherries in about 2 to 3 months (June/July). 🍒 some varieties need a "buddy" tree nearby for pollination to get that harvest! 🐝 #Gardening #SpringBlossoms #NaturePhotography

@CarolinejGoode @NaturalNav I think @katephillips29 will be able to give us the answer as she took the picture, her credits/portrait rights 🙃

@RoninPinguin @NaturalNav I’m confused. Moss makes me think looking south, plus quite a lot of tree growth( but can’t see rest of the tree). Church architecture makes me think looking north as poss oriented to the east ( large windows tending to be where the altar is). Can’t tell which way graves face 🤷🏻♀️

This picture is a gold mine for @NaturalNav … which way are we looking? 👀🧭

Gorgeous little St. Mary’s Church, Barton Bendish, Norfolk. One of my favourites 💕 Thatch, lime render, ogee headed doorway and atmosphere in abundance 🥰

@CarolinejGoode @NaturalNav The way i interpret it: chruch is built east-west axis, right side/east is the altar. Next, moss tends to grow on moisty side, and on the roof it only grows on the lower side, the trees shadow casting over it. The roof is slightly combed due to SW-winds.

The main show is a spring thing (think March-May), but it might throw a cheeky, unexpected flower later on. Want more? A quick trim after the main bloom can encourage a denser, prettier shape for next year. #gardentips #seasonalflowers

⚠️ Toxic alert: Keep it away from pets & curious kids! All parts are poisonous if eaten.
🌿 Spreader: In the ground, it can get a bit too cozy and try to take over. Potting it is smart!
🐝 Not a bee party: Bees will visit for early pollen but better pollinators exist. #planthacks

✨ Total survivor: Sun? Shade? It doesn't care. Great for tricky spots.
✨ Winter warrior: Keeps its green leaves all year round.
✨ Low maintenance: A dream for forgetful gardeners!
✨ Pot-friendly: Looks amazing cascading over a container. #greenthumb #gardening

This beauty is soaking up the sun! It's a Vinca minor, but you might know it as Greater Periwinkle. Those periwinkle-blue flowers are hard to beat! #gardenchat #vinca #flowerpower
