They aren't even hiding it anymore. NASDAQ futures start *aggressively* selling off at 7:52 PM (green circle) for no reason whatsoever. Trump announces tariffs on Canada, Europe, and the rest of the world at 8:06 PM (blue circle). NASDAQ bottoms *4 minutes* later at 8:10 PM (red circle). You don't even need room temperature IQ to figure out what is happening over here.

John Rustad should know that you can't just ignore the rights of Indigenous people - he was the Minister of Reconciliation when those rights were confirmed in court.
Working with First Nations doesn't stop projects, it gets them built. That's why industry is already doing it.

Projects that are in BC’s public interest should be prioritized based on what’s best for ALL British Columbians — not based on who happens to own the project. Instead, David Eby’s NDP is giving First Nations an absolute VETO over whether or not projects in BC can be given priority status by government. This “Eby VETO” is a part of a larger pattern, and it’s not normal. British Columbians are in agreement on reconciliation and having respect for First Nations culture and rights — including title. However, BC’s provincial government is supposed to govern for ALL British Columbians. Eby’s NDP should not be giving ANY special group: 1. VETO on whether or not projects are prioritized by BC’s government. 2. VETO powers over land rights and access rights on privately owned property in BC. 3. VETO over access to and use of public lands in BC. The BC NDP’s “Eby VETO” approach is setting back reconciliation, driving away investment and undermining BC’s economy, and breaking down trust between British Columbians. BC needs to end the “Eby VETO”, if we want to get our economy going again.
