After getting Pope Francis's luggage loaded into the limo, the driver notices the Pope is still standing on the curb. “Excuse me, Your Holiness,” says the driver, “Would you please take your seat so we can leave?” “Well, to tell you the truth,” says the Pope, “They never let me drive at the Vatican, and I'd really like to drive today.” "I'm sorry, Your Holiness, but I cannot let you do that. I'd lose my job! What if something should happen?!” protests the driver, wishing he'd never gone to work that morning. “Who's going to tell?” says the Pope with a smile. Reluctantly, the driver gets in the back as the Pope climbs in behind the wheel. The driver quickly regrets his decision when, after exiting the airport, the Pontiff floors it, accelerating the limo to 205 km. "Please slow down, Your Holiness," pleads the worried driver, but the Pope keeps the pedal to the metal until they hear sirens. "Oh, dear God, I'm going to lose my license -- and my job!” moans the driver. The Pope pulls over and rolls down the window as the cop approaches, but the cop takes one look at him, goes back to his motorcycle, and gets on the radio. “I need to talk to the Chief,” he says to the dispatcher. The Chief gets on the radio and the cop tells him that he's stopped a limo going 205 kph. “So bust him,” says the Chief. “I don't think we want to do that. He's really important,” said the cop. The Chief exclaimed, “All the more reason!” “No, I mean really important,”said the cop with a bit of persistence. The Chief then asked, “Who do you have there, the mayor?” Cop: “Bigger.” Chief: “A senator?” Cop: “Bigger.” Chief: “The President?” Cop: “Bigger.” “Well,” said the Chief, “who is it?” Cop: “I think it's God!” The Chief is even more puzzled and curious, “What makes you think it's God?” Cop: “His chauffeur is the Pope!”

@MrMekzy_ You can't call people soft. We all feel differently, that's what tickles her fancy she's allowed to feel, we shouldn't police the way anyone feels with matters like this one. I didn't attend my matriculation and convocation. I attended my induction cos I had to.

People are so soft these days mehn, nobody attended my matric too and i really didn’t care. Infact it was my roommate that forced me to snap a matric picture with my gown the next day. Same thing for my induction, I just went there, swore my oath, collected my license and certificate and got the hell out of that place.
TENIOLA@Teeniiola

She was left out, nobody attended her matriculation. The lady was seen sitting alone on her matriculation day after none of her family members came to support her, and she doesn’t have friends in the school yet. 😫🙂‍↔️

I’m sorry you’re going through this and I hope you have a quick and positive resolution. This shows another benefit of japa. Had this been in the U.S. the bank will credit you back while going through the investigative process. It’s even less likely to be approved due to tight KYC.

I know Flick doesn’t experiment much with the striker role, especially in big games, but this feels like the exact type of match where you have to try something new. One of your main strikers is injured, the other is in horrible form, and this isn’t a game where caution makes sense anyway. You’ve already lost 4–0 in the first leg. There’s nothing left to protect. If you want even a slim chance of a comeback, you need to take risks and think creatively. Playing it safe gets you nowhere here. I’d much rather see Olmo as a false 9, Rashford through the middle, or even something more unconventional than lining up with Ferran again. Because realistically, expecting to score five goals against Atleti with this version of Ferran as your striker just feels like setting yourself up for failure. Try something different. At this point, the biggest risk is not taking one.

I see so many ignorant reactions in the replies. It is good to critique, but don’t let it make you obtuse and ignorant. Don’t let it limit your ability to reason. Before we rush to outrage: • Grid electricity at Aso Rock: ₦47bn/year • Solar investment: ₦17bn (one-off) • Projected annual power cost after: ₦311m Do the maths! You can’t complain about high cost of governance and have a problem with this. Reducing cost of governance isn’t magic, it’s structural efficiency. Going solar isn’t politics. It’s basic economics.

Africans were once told that eating with a fork and knife represented civilization, whereas eating with their hands was primitive. Today, occupational therapists are prescribing hand-feeding activities as part of child development therapy. The West is now repackaging and selling back to Africans the very practices they previously condemned.

🚨💣❗️👀| Cristiano Ronaldo just liked an IG reel of Jose Mourinho explaining why it’s harder to be Ronaldo than Messi. The full Mourinho Quote : “I keep saying that its harder to be Cristiano than to be Messi. Messi grew up in the team he plays for, with the teammates he plays with. Cristiano came from England to a team that was losing. He had to grow in the last 2 years with this team in construction. Messi plays as a 9 in about 50 squared meteres, closer to the goal with less defensive work. Cristiano on the other hand is a winger. How can a winger score the same amount of goals as a CF? A winger that defends. A winger that ends a game at the 94th minute with a sprint chasing Pedro in a scoring situation. A winger that in set piece situations comes 20 times to his own box, because its very important to the defensive setup. A player that isn't protected by nothing or nobody. They see him as a huge animal. He needs to be fouled a lot of times just for the first yellow to come out. But with Messi, it's one foul then a yellow card, and if you touch him again, you are out. Its much, much harder to be Cristiano, let's stop kidding.” 👀👀👀👀

@Real1_balogun Akor making the dummy move wasn't coincidence at all, a low cross would bring lookman closer to the byline. But a cross from that angle was going to be high which equates to Osimhen, these guys are brilliant. Great analysis.

This is for me, the most exciting thing about football — the quality of thinking that mostly goes into good situations. They don't get noticed easily but they happen from time to time. Now see this. Lookman had the ball. He could have beaten his marker to the left and attempt a cross with what his left. He has done it many times. But this time, he looked up. Oh, there's Osimhen to aim. Why not? Osimhen pointed to his head, just before he moved. That's trust. He trusted Lookman to deliver it to his head, his strongest weapon in my opinion. Akor moved before Osimhen, more or less a dummy move. It's highly unlikely that the cross would have found him. He took a defender away from the main point of the action. Osimhen made two moves in about a second. He attempted to go inside his marker, that took the guy off his balance, Osimhen saw that the trajectory of the ball was different. He went outside the guy and attacked the best position to score that ball. He scored that ball long before it came. Lookman was brilliant. Akor was brilliant. That's why they are professionals. That's why those guys are really good footballers. It's in the little actions.

Great headers start long before the ball arrives. Osimhen knows the routine. ⚽️🧠 #TotalEnergiesAFCON2025
