@brightafia It’s strange . Quite people are always asked to talk more but nobody asks the talkative people to say less 😆

The High Court yesterday made a very important decision. When you take a loan from any lending institution, the amount of interest accrued cannot exceed the amount you received from the institution (principal). Meaning if you borrow kshs. 100,000, you cannot pay more than kshs.200,000 in total. This is good news to many Kenyans. Tag that one lending institution wajionee habari kamili.

There’s a lot happening globally and even here in Kenya. The pressure is real and for many, things feel uncertain.
This is not a season for empty motivation talks. It is a season for building resilience.
Challenges do not automatically become opportunities. They demand that we think sharper, stay grounded, and keep moving even when progress feels slow. Review the vision, adjust where necessary, but do not give up too fast.

@sneminaj I have a friend who not only goes for coffee but also travels alone. Last year she went to Brazil and Singapore alone all the way from Kenya 🇰🇪 . We should all try and learn how to enjoy our own company without the need for constant company.

I came across this court ruling and it made me think.
The court emphasized that employees must communicate when they are unwell and follow proper procedures, otherwise they risk losing legal protection. It reinforced something simple but powerful. Responsibility does not stop just because you have a valid reason.
And it got me thinking about how often this shows up in our everyday lives.
Sometimes we pray for a job, for an opportunity, for stability… and when it finally comes, we begin to relax. We stop showing up with the same level of discipline. We assume things will just work out. We forget that opportunity also comes with responsibility.
The main takeaway is, even in genuine situations, how you handle your responsibility and communication still matters.

Here's something that might shock you… Most commercial yogurt is not the health food you think it is!
Many yogurts on the shelves are double-pasteurized, meaning you're often getting dead bacteria rather than live, active cultures. Plus, commercial yogurts are fermented for only 1-2 hours, compared to 8-36 hours for traditional yogurts, leading to far fewer beneficial microbes.
Not only that, but adding high-fructose corn syrup or modified food starch severely dehydrates and kills any remaining bacteria. Not to mention, ingredients like carrageenan and polysorbate 80, used to thicken quick-fermented yogurt, can actually diminish your gut's protective layer, contributing to leaky gut and inflammation.
The next time you grab a yogurt, read the ingredients. You might be surprised by what you're actually consuming.
