@wheelswesterham @iAmMrCarson I can agree that it’s not the case for every performance by a musician or artist ever. But it is definitely standard practice. Artist sign contracts, that’s how venues hold them accountable for attendance, tardiness, and yes, depending on the intended audience, lyrical content.

@Rooke_bay @iAmMrCarson That’s not quite the argument I was making, see my other thread for the lengthier explanation. Of course, they sign contracts and yes they oftentimes have stipulations (length, that any pyro be approved by a fire marshal, for example). My point is about creative control.
