Those of us who roll our eyes at the “this means more” nature of modern LFC might have been excused a wry smile at news LFC are raising ticket prices for the next three years. But it’s important to remember this exploitation of fans isn’t restricted to them 🧵

Our long years of mediocrity have to some extent insulated us Evertonians from all of this but things are changing. Ludicrous prices for lounges - up to £1200 - are a sign of things to come at EFC.

Innocent enough, but it isn’t the match day experience that football in this country was built on. Clubs were an amplification of pride in place. At times they were the only things to be proud of.
